Ann has been working with couples and individuals in her private practice since 2012.
Ann is a qualified Counsellor (holds a diploma- Counselling ) trained at externship level in Emotionally focused Therapy for couples, Level 1& 2 Gottman-method couples therapy, a member of the International centre for excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), and International Institute for complementary therapist (IICT)
Prior to going into private practice, Ann worked has in a variety of counselling agencies throughout the Christchurch and Canterbury areas, working with adults, couples, children and teenagers since 2008.
Ann trained as mental health nurse (RMN) and general health nurse (RGN) in the UK and has 16 years of experience, in which she worked in acute psychiatry, drug rehabilitation, accident emergency and community mental health.
Ann immigrated to New Zealand with her husband (Steve ) in 2001 and in 2002 and 2003 her gorgeous Kiwi daughters were born. Ann has lived in many places in the South island and has experienced the forces of Mother Nature.
In 2005, Ann and her husband had to dig themselves out of their Twizel home when a big snow storm hit the Mackenzie Country.
Once again in 2010/2013 Ann and her family lived through one of New Zealand’s major nature disasters, the Christchurch earthquakes.
In late 2014 Ann and her family relocated to Wellington for her husband’s new job/ career opportunity, to experience city living and also to be close to family.
